For my children's illustration class we had to make a story using 5 images and no words. It had to be clearly readable. It also could have no colour. This is my little story about a cat. Enjoy!

Christ Of Fer

One day at work some one broke apart the name Christopher. They turned it into Christ of Fer, which in turn meant iron Christ. So naturally I thought of Iron Man! These are the beginnings of what I came up with. I will post the final product when it is ready!

Super Grover!

This is probably my favourite piece I have done at school. I made it for the super hero assignment in my covers class. It took me forever! It is made out of textured paper that I cut into the specific shapes.
I think he is pretty spiffy!

As I wrote before this summer I took part in a shoe painting event at work! There were four featured artists and I got to be one of them. We spend the good part of our day painting whatever canvas Toms came our way. These are some of the ones I did.

Rat's Nest

I had a class that was designed to help you create covers. The assignment the week I made her was for it to be either horror, grotesque, or sci-fi.
When I was painting this I was influenced by the work of Camilla d'Errico. I wanted the colours to be fairly monochromatic and I did not want very solid lines.
I am happy with how her face turned out. I may try to re-work this piece, but overall it is one of my favourite I produced in that class.

Waiter There's A Fly In My Soup!

This is my mostly finished one panel comic for cartooning class. The caption is "Would you like a menu?". I thought it was pretty funny. I tried to digitally ink and colour it but it seemed to lose some of the life. That is why I kept this one! Hope you enjoy it!

Creepy Cover

These are the cover and splash I came up with last semester for a layout project. They are a character I created named Lily. I thought she, and her story would fit in very well with the old Creepy magazine!

Sweet Tooth

This was something I made for myself over the holidays. It is an elaboration from a previous painting I did. This one was done using gouache. I am not too sure about the colours or the rose but it was good practice none the less!

This was a page I inked last semester in inking class. It was originally drawn by Carl Barks. I had fun doing this project because I really like Disney things and I liked the line work in it.

An Apple A Day

This is a homework painting from my first year. The shape is a little off but I like the colours. I picked an apple similarly coloured to the pair because I thought it would help me understand it a little better. My teacher and I both liked this painting because it looked like an antique one.

Silhouettes

These were part of my ten silhouettes for cartooning. I thought they were a lot of fun to do. It was neat how even without seeing the detail on a character you could get a little grasp of their personalities.

Everybody Loves Bill Murray

In cartooning class last semester our assignment was to draw caricatures. The obvious choice was Bill Murray. The first was my rough sketch. I thought it would look good as a more cartooned drawing of him. I used black and white charcoal pencils create the finished product!

The Egg

This little guy here was my first colour oil painting. It was a warm cool study in my first semester of first year. I was very proud of it, especially since I had a little trouble with my black and white one. It looks a little bit like it is made of chrome, I think that just adds to its charm though.
